Understanding Plantar Fasciitis!🦶🏼
Plantar fasciitis is a chronic degenerative condition caused by microtearing of the dense connective tissue on the sole of the foot. This injury develops gradually due to repetitive strain on the plantar fascia.
It is most commonly seen in individuals who:
❌Stand for long periods
❌Run long distances
❌Lead a sedentary lifestyle or are obese
❌Have flat feet
Patients with plantar fasciitis typically experience:
⚠️Heel pain, especially on the inside of the foot when weight-bearing
⚠️Discomfort during the first few steps in the morning
