Laura Wood is a pre and post natal movement specialist, having trained extensively in both pilates and yoga. She is also a trained doula through CAPPA and Birthing from Within. Laura aims to inspire mothers of all different stages, from newly pregnant to experienced mother, to move, connect and love their bodies. Laura offers private and semi private Pilates and Yoga sessions, either in home or in
studio, to help women through their pregnancy and into motherhood. Sessions focus on:
-building support in your body for pregnacy,
-creating physical balance in the body as preparation for labor
-restoring your body post baby, including pelvic floor dysfunction and diastasis recti. Private sessions will be tailored to your unique needs but will address overall alignment, posture, muscle imbalances as well as any specific phyical injury or trauma. Integrating principles of yoga into these sessions also helps to balance the nervous system and cultivates a sense of relaxation and embodiment.
