Our Story
The Hive has been building for a long time. The founder of the Hive, Sandra Bruton, has owned and operated her company Sure Chef for the last 10 years. She ran cooking classes, camps and nutrition programs for children, teens and adults. Sure Chef also provided personal chef services and small catering. Over the years, through teaching cooking programs, she realized that in order to appreciate healthy foods and acquire the skills needed to lead a healthy life you had to start learning at an early age. Sandra then went back to school for Early Childhood Education at Mothercraft College of ECE. With dreams of eventually opening her own childcare centre, Sandra has now created the Hive. Offering childcare and food services to families in Toronto, Sandra has taken her skills
specializing in catering to tricky diets, or helping you reach health goals as a family.
The Hive aims to be a hub, forming an online community where hands on learning happens at home. We want to help you nurture your family through education, food, nutrition and the power of working together for a better tomorrow for your children.
