I hate to break it to you… but weight loss and body re-comp are created with a simple recipe, but most people aren’t willing to follow the recipe and then wonder why the cake didn’t turn out.

Just like you can’t add 3 eggs only if the batter calls for 5, or omit the baking soda or add salt instead of sugar…. You also can’t ā€œreplace slow controlled liftingā€ with a bootcamp class, or replace 30 grams of high quality protein with peanut butter 🫣.

There is a way.
A plan.

Here’s the truth they don’t tell you

ā€œIn 7 days you CAN de-puff, de-bloat, detox, implement new habits, create a foundation, learn new skills, change your mindset, continue for another 7 days, and then another and another to create a lifestyle that will FOREVER change your life.

I started my journey 20 years ago with a 4 week challenge, that morphed into 12 weeks, and then a bodybuilding show….and the rest is history.

Aging doesn’t have to equal lowering our standards, or downgrading our goals.

The picture on the left popped up this week in memories…I had just turned 40, I was about 7 months post-partum with Gabriel.
I remember thinking, I’ll never do a photoshoot again, let alone wear a bikini.
Turning 40, having a c-section and fluctuating hormones were all against me, right?!

The picture on the right was taken yesterday. The weekend was spent enjoying Easter festivities, libations and a few mini eggs šŸ«¶šŸ„‚

I do believe that what we do most of the time matters, not what we do some of the time.
So yes, MOST of the time, I’m prioritizing protein, water, resistance training and sleep. Most of the time my health and fitness are my priorities.

At 46, I’d love to tell my 40 year old self that her goals don’t have to diminish or change. She can still want the best for her physical body (and mental, emotional, spiritual etc), but perhaps the way to achieve those goals needs tweaking. Perhaps it takes some different approaches, tools and a slightly more uphill battle … but it’s still possible!

Please keep going. Don’t let society or ā€œyour pre-conceivedā€ notions of what aging should look like deter you from going after your biggest dreamsā€ šŸ’ŖšŸ™ŒšŸ»

March Break wasn’t quite a break šŸ˜†

We managed to squeeze in quite a few workouts, pizzas and play dates in between 2 dance competitions for Ari and a Flamenco recital for G.

I’m currently working on a huge project. A project that has me more behind the scenes. Using my experience and education, years of trial and error (and success). Thousands of hours of research and hands on experience over the past 2 decades doesn’t result in luck, but fulfilling purpose.

Someone asked me the other day why I haven’t posted much recently… I had to stop and think. I’ve been so busy ā€œbehind the scenesā€ lifting others, supporting and cheering on women, head down hustling that I truly haven’t even thought of it.

YES! I love to be in front of the camera. Yes, i love a Spotlight, a shiny surface, a reason to push harder…pictures like these 🤩

But, what I’ve learned and am learning is the true magic, fulfillment and PURPOSE comes when serving others. The reason I was put here was not (only) to share MY wins, but more importantly help others CREATE their own wins and be in the front row to celebrate them!!!
My new project that I have been invited to lead is ALL about this!!!
So if you are wondering where I’ve been, or why I’m only posting memes, or if you didn’t really notice (šŸ˜†), that’s what’s up!
