i am lucky enough to witness the humble, elegant, peaceful 90-year-old neighbourhood granny selling fresh fruits in the bustling devaraja market. i mean, she’s hustling — making her living — with a lot of awe and inspiration to me as an entrepreneur.

sometimes i ask myself
“am i living well?”
“what do i want to be able to smile about on the inside when i’m quietly working, building, and creating?”

she smiled even wider as i probed further on her business, her children, and her grandchildren… and then she spent the next few minutes speaking softly and passionately about her life and the reasons for her present happiness.

it was without a doubt one of the most enlightening and unforgettable times of my life.

remember, you don’t know what the future will bring. so your best bet for living is to make the best and most positive use of the present, granny said.

now it’s your turn…

a gentle reminder for all the dreamers and overthinkers (me 🤭): whatever is meant to happen will unfold in its own time. let nature take its course. the good karma you’re sowing will return to you—multiplied. have faith. go out, do good in your community, and stop obsessing over fixed goals—whether it’s marriage, losing the last 10 kgs, or scaling your business. life is happening now. what’s unfolding is shaping your metamorphosis. so breathe. be here. live a little. joy is in the now.

no one gets more than their destiny or before their time — and no one ever will
वक़्त से पहले और किस्मत से ज़्यादा, ना किसी को मिला है, ना किसी को मिलेगा। 🌸

not everyone will feel the pull of certain places. some energies speak only when you’re ready. india is like that for me—a calling, not a destination. you don’t experience india with your mind. it asks for your heart.

at first, it overwhelms. confuses. shakes you loose from your patterns. it holds up a mirror, shows you your shadows, and asks—are you ready to grow through this?

you have to stop analyzing. start feeling. let go of control. and in that surrender, something opens. india doesn’t let you skim the surface. it pulls you into the raw, the real, the beauty wrapped in chaos.

i teach yoga to kids who have so little, yet give so much. the kind of presence they offer—open-hearted, curious, pure—is what gets me every time. it softens parts of me i didn’t know were rigid.

i see strangers smile like we’ve always known each other. kids run up for high-fives. women welcome me with warmth while cooking over open fires. dogs, cows, even elephants walk beside me like old friends. and somewhere in the noise, there’s deep stillness.

a shared chai. a gesture of kindness. people treating me like a daughter, just because. it’s love without expectation. presence without performance.

shiva’s energy isn’t a concept. it’s a lived truth. it’s what remains when you strip everything else away. just you, this life, and the courage to show up fully.

india doesn’t just teach. it transforms.

Yoga with Disha

Yoga has been part of my life for over 10 years. I have travelled to the Himalayan Hills and National Institute of Yoga in New Delhi to complete my Yoga Teacher training.

In my classes, I incorporate breathing, meditative techniques along with postures for a holistic yoga class. I specialize in various styles: Hatha, Asthanga and Vinyasa. In addition to teaching multi-level classes, I also offer gentle Yoga for seniors, Corporate Yoga and Kids Yoga. I believe yoga is an empowering practice that is suitable for all fitness levels and I can’t wait to share that journey with you.
