Yup...this has been me! (and sometimes still is 🙃). I've found some safety in smallness throughout my life for sure. But how do we get our message out that way? We don't. So lately, I've been really gentle with myself, reminding myself that things don't have to be perfect to get started. I don't have to be perfect to do the things I want to do in life. When it's not perfect you won't look stupid. You may feel like Bambi on ice while doing it, but you're on the path! Just start with the first step. ♥️🙏🙌

Fear. We’re terrified. Afraid of being judged for our weird, goofball, bizarre, quirky selves. ⁠⠀

Sadly, it often takes being stripped bare before we’re willing to step into that place where we just don’t care what others think or say. ⁠⠀

Many of the people I’ve known in life who’ve found that place of full expression and unapologetic joy have also been through substantial trials. They’ve hit the proverbial, and sometimes literal, rock bottom. ⁠⠀

When you land in that place and are forced to examine who and what truly matter, you realize life is short. There is a cost to living in the shadows. You’ve been judged as fiercely as you could be judged; you have nothing left to lose by just being you. ⁠⠀

That’s when the renewal begins. ⁠⠀
⁠⠀
That’s when the light shines through.
