This is my first public sound bath in Saskatoon since 2021! and the first time I’m sharing sounds since recovering from the fibroid surgery I had in September. I am recovering well, and feel ready and excited to get to be together and enjoy some deep listening time.

For those in attendance: please bring an offering of a new, unworn pair of socks. These will be donated to along with 11% of my ticket sales. Thank you to all who have already registered. there are still tickets left if you want to join. All are welcome.

Also suggested accoutrements: a mat to rest on and I also recommend bringing soft things to create your cozy nest: pillow, blanket, bolster, eye pillow. These are not mandatory, however there are limited props at the studio and I’m a big fan of amplifying comfort so that your body can feel extra supported. If you are inspired, treat this as a chance to be extra sweet to your body.

On the subject of sweetness, I had the opportunity to take a yin class tonight at the studio and it was such a deep, nurtured experience. I’m honoured to get to share sounds with you in this held space.

The swinging chime was the first sound healing instrument I brought into my restorative yoga practice. It opened the portal and continues to be an integral harmony in my sound baths.

There are so many reasons why I love these chimes, the word that appears is ~ ✨delightful ✨ ~ they are so fun to play. Someone recently asked me how do you play them? And as you can see from this improvisational cloud mountain jam, there is infinite ways to play and move with the sound. It’s so simple and also fine tuning into the subtleties can take you into the deepest of listening. I love how embodied and freeing it is to create sounds with the chimes, the waterfall of tones that cascade through.

I chose to become a guide for these bowls because they opened profound extrasensories, and I wanted to share that experience with others who felt their resonance and the desire to play.

They are incredible instruments of sensitivity. They changed my perception, invited me into new ways of listening. They continue to be patient, gentle teachers who remind me to slow down, focus and move with considered intention.

When I started my personal journey with buying crystal bowls, it was quite stressful. There was nowhere near me that had a good selection to play, the price point and the way they were being offered caused confusion in my brain and heart, and I had to do a lot of research and hands on learning…including making mistakes and buying some not so nice sounding bowls!

Quality matters when you are buying instruments. So does knowing where the instrument came from, and who made the instrument. For crystal bowls, I only work with Crystal Tones for this reason. The quality, and consistency is unparalleled.

My intention as a guide is to bring clarity, delight, education, to help you avoid errors I made when beginning this journey, and also time and space to trust in your own intuition and personal feelings as you connect with the bowls. It’s a process 💕

Because each bowl is one of a kind and requires a commitment of time and listening, we begin by scheduling a 60 minute consultation. If you are Tkaronto
we can meet in person. For international we can meet virtually and create a listening space together. Through play and conversation with each other and the bowls, we discover what bowls are meant to connect with you. Every time we open this portal I’m in awe of how the bowls communicate personally with each listener.

I recorded this in the summer at Cloud Mountain. This is what my personal sound practice often feels like. I sit, listen, and open to a conversation with the elements, with nature, with beings seem and unseen. A deep listening practice of body and breath. It’s also play and intuition and curiosity. Letting go of the results and staying open to what wants to be expressed. Every sound bath is a love letter.
