Be Well with V!VA!

This interactive and engaging presentation explores how movement, games, and social connection come together to support both mental and physical health as we age. Through simple, playful activities and real-life examples, participants will learn how staying mentally engaged while moving can improve balance, coordination, focus, and confidence.
The session highlights how group-based, game-style movement creates opportunities to laugh, connect, and stay socially engaged; making physical activity feel enjoyable and motivating. It’s designed to be informative, uplifting, and fun, leaving participants with a better understanding of how purposeful movement supports everyday life and overall well-being.
Alexandre Costa is a kinesiology graduate and wellness facilitator who specializes in creating inclusive, engaging exercise classes for older adults. His approach emphasizes not only physical and cognitive health, but also the importance of social health, enjoyment, and community. Alex focuses on helping participants feel confident, supported, and connected while they move.
Jovia Life is a community-focused wellness initiative that uses game-based movement to promote active aging, social interaction, and overall vitality. Jovia Life programs are designed to bring people together through shared movement experiences that encourage laughter, connection, and meaningful engagement, supporting both independence and quality of life.
