Join us,
Calling all yoga teachers, psychotherapists, social workers, psychologists, GPs, parole officers, nurses and anyone else who is interested in mental health, including survivors of trauma who would like to understand themselves better.
Everyone is touched by trauma in some way because the aftermath of life’s challenging moments shift how we interact with the world. Whether you’re on the giving or receiving end of reactive behaviour, we all could make an effort to understand what drives us to say what we say and do what we do.
“Any behaviour that anyone shows you is them showing you how they learned to survive.” Jan Winhall MSW, FOT
It’s so easy and human to judge people who are being defensive, dismissive, anxious, depressed, lazy, competitive or for having addictions. This program will teach you that so many of these disruptive behaviours are rooted in trauma.
Understanding the connection between what looks like poor choices and pre-programmed responses, helps us to be more compassionate and kind to people who desperately need more love and less judgement in their lives.
This program will also teach you techniques to shift out of reactive behaviour and make it possible for more thoughtful responses to unfold.
Let’s make this world a more peaceful place. A world in which trauma is not a life sentence, healing is possible, along with the return of joyful, human connection.
Everyone welcome.
