McMaster Dance Marathon

McMaster Dance Marathon Welcome to McMaster's official Dance Marathon page! We are a fundraiser dedicated to raising money for McMaster Children's Hospital.

Dance Marathon is a nationwide movement, involving college and high school students at more than 150 schools across the country who raise money for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in their community. At McMaster Smiling Over Sickness collaborates with The Children's Miracle Network to host Dance Marathon and raise money for the McMaster Children's Hospital. McMaster CHildren's Hospital accommodates more than 70,000 visits annually and is the second largest provider of inpatient pediatrics services in Ontario. The funds raised at Dance Marathon are used to support critical research and education, purchase life-saving equipment and ensure excellent quality of care. The event takes place at TwelvEighty Bar & Grill at McMaster every March. In the past two years of participation in the Children's Miracle Network Dance Marathon Movement, McMaster University has raised over $12,000. We hope to continue to help this movement grow, so join to support McMaster Dance Marathon!

Thank you everyone once again for coming out to Dance Marathon 2018 last Friday night! It was such a great success and we could not have done it without you! We have raised a total of $3363.60 from the event and it will all be going towards McMaster Children's Hospital!

Special thank you to all our performers, McMaster School of Bhangra, McMaster KPC, and VIE Division for showing us and teaching us such amazing variety of dances from all across the world! Additionally, we want to thank all our club collaborators including McMaster ALS Society, Liberty in North Korea - McMaster, Oral Health Total Health McMaster Chapter, and Circle K McMaster for hosting your fun, interactive game booths at our event! Be sure to check out their pages for updates and information on how to get involved!

Although the event is over, it does not stop here! The donor drive will remain active and we will continue to host small fundraisers throughout the year so stay tuned for more updates on our page!
