Today, a Whole-Food, Plant-Based diet has been proven by science to be the key to optimal health as well as a gateway to reversing several health conditions. There is a practical nutrition phrase by bestselling author, Michael Pollan that should help guide your eating habits. It states ‘Eat Food, Not Too Much, Mostly Plants!’. The Eat Food part means — ‘Eat Real Food, Not Processed Foods’. Not Too Much means — Practicing Everything In Moderation. A famous healthy quote and tip by Michael Pollan goes, 'Eat food, not too much, mostly plants'.
While this makes a lot of sense, the reality is that as long as we continue to live in this world, we will remain surrounded by many foodstuffs which are enclosed in boxes and packages; packages which have a lot of confusing information inscribed on them. This proves to be a major bump in the journey of many people who strive to live healthy.
