Are you a birth worker supporting Indigenous Families in the Fraser Salish Region?

Our BCAAFC “Circles of Birth Keepers” program is looking to create a strong community of birth and postpartum support workers for the amazing families we serve at our Friendship Centre.

We are located on the shared and unceded territories of the Kwantlen, Katzie, Semiahmoo, QayQayt and the ceded territory of the Tsawwassen First Nation.

If you are a doula, or birth support worker and would like to navigate the 4 session Cultural Safety training for Birth Workers along with our community of Indigenous and Allied birth workers, please join us for the zoom viewings and follow up discussions.

Additionally you will also learn about our perinatal programs here, and the comprehensive wrap around supports that are available to birthing Indigenous families here at our Centre”

What a beautiful gathering today as we made our way over to FRAFCA to meet with Joani, our teacher on drum making. Lots of laughter and good medicine went in to today. Missing in action is our sister Stacey! A drum will be made for you 🌿

We learned to “let go” as Joani says as we mindfully tied the sinew and as we moved through the process, we birthed some beautiful drums.
