A journey back to nature! 📍Sḵwx̱wú7mesh, BC 🏔️

As a small-town girl from Prince Rupert, BC… I always knew I wanted to get out of the city and back into nature. After a decade spent building my life and business in Vancouver, my partner and I made the decision to move to beautiful Squamish just over a year ago.

Squamish not only inspires my work but also offers the perfect environment to connect with a vibrant community that shares my love for the outdoors and staying active.

Today is another stunning day along the estuary, with The Chief towering in the background — just one of the many reasons I’m so grateful to call Squamish home!

3 Moves to Improve Shoulder Mobility

1. Prone Shoulder CARS
2. Prone Swimmer
3. Prone ER to IR Switch

Want a few shoulder activity drills that improve your shoulder mobility and strength?

Here are 3 moves that will help you control end range of motion in the shoulder.

Make sure for all these moves, you keep your forehead on the ground to reduce compensation of your neck and upper thoracic spine.

For progression, you can add weight to each movement and/or increase time under tension.

Perform these exercises 3 times a week and do 2 sets of 5-10reps each.

Adductor Rock Back

Is an awesome dynamic groin stretch to add into your warm up routine.

* Start on all fours, extend one leg to your side, then gently rock back, keeping your back flat, and then progressively go further and further back.

* Now, if you want an even greater stretch, then elevate the extended leg, but start conservatively first with the leg lower.

* Do 8-15 reps each side progressively going further into the stretch.
