Westside Midwives is hiring a part-time Administrator! Our incredible MOA Emily is going on maternity leave soon, so we are hiring for a 12 month contract starting the end of February with training starting soon! This is a BUSY administrative job supporting 2 teams of midwives and all of the lovely families we care for during their pregnancy birth and post-partum. It is an incredibly fun and supportive place to work! Do you have excellent communication skills, and know your way around Excel and Microsoft Office? Do you love being busy at work? It's not easy to be a frontline health care provider these days. But today we're celebrating the best job in the world. It's International Day of the Midwife, and also officially Day of the Midwife in Vancouver! Green Team midwife Sarah Knowlden took time out of her busy clinic day yesterday to chat to City TV about Vancouver's Mayoral Proclamation and the pressure on midwives during the pandemic.

For the first time, Vancouver proclaimed May 5 as Day of the Midwife. But as Kier Junos reports, while the day celebrates midwives, it also calls attention to the increased demand for midwife services during the pandemic.
