Research on food and addiction is in its infancy. But studies suggest that overeating may reduce your dopamine response. This weak response may make you overeat even more!!!
you may be more likely to overeat foods that are higher in calorie, fat or sugar!
stress and dieting can lead to overeating as well!

what to do to keep you from overeating?
-Avoid mindless eating
-Beware of cues & stress
-Distract yourself
-Eat healthy foods
-Avoid foods that make you lose control

Did you know?

Any exercise is better than no exercise, and moderate intensity (like brisk walking) can lower the risk of diabetes, heart disease, breast and colon cancer and other health problems. But with vigorous exercise (which means you are too out of breath to talk), our body not only burn calories during the exercise but also continues to shave off more calories during the 14 hours after a vigorous exercise. (A study show that a male aged 22-33 on stationary bicycle for 45 min at very fast pace can burn about 500 calories during the exercise & about 200 calories during the 14 hours after cycling).
So keep it up and pedal faster but be safe!

Health Canada recommends...
Enjoy breakfast everyday. It may help control your hunger later in the day. Children who eat breakfast are more alert. Be a role model- if adults eat breakfast, it is likely children will too.

Enjoy eating well, being active and feeling good about yourself. That's vitality!
Keep energized by having regular meals or snacks every 3-4 hours. Keep healthy snack and meal choices handy at work, in the car and at home to avoid settling for something less nutritious. Try to drink plenty of fluids specially water throughout the day.
