The 52nd Annual Percivall Pott Scientific Meeting was one of those rare moments where history, medicine, and community share the same moment. Hosted by the historic and organized by an incredible team of orthopaedic trainees and their consultant surgeons, it’s a meeting with a legacy and this year I had the privilege of joining them.
Walking through buildings whose foundations were laid long before the New World was even discovered was a humbling reminder of the generations of surgeons who came before us. The sense of continuity, curiosity, and camaraderie was palpable.
Throughout the day, I had the privilege of meeting outstanding surgeons and trainees, including our incoming fellow, and was energized by the conversations and shared commitment to advancing our field.
Congratulations to the organizers on a fantastic meeting, and thank you for welcoming us so warmly. I’m grateful for the experience and hopeful this is just the beginning of many future collaborations.
