17month old Kolbi is facing every parents worst fear. He has a grade 3 cancerous tumor in his brain. Please join us in supporting him and his family xo

We are fundraising for Baby Kolbi! He has brain cancer, and has undergone surgery to remove the lemon sized tumor from his head. They removed as much as they could safely. Aggressive Chemo treatments will follow this week and will last for 7 months. During this time he will be living in BC Children's hospital, our hope is that Kolbi can have his Mom and Dad by his side unencumbered by additional financial burden. It is unthinkable that a six year old could be stricken with brain cancer once, let alone twice, but Kolbi has bravely battled his cancer on both occasions. As of January, Kolbi was considered to be cancer-free but it is with great sadness that we have learned about a new tumor on Kolbi's spine....

I haven’t been able to put into words what’s happened let alone comprehend it all and can’t accept it.
Kolbi’s cancer is back now in his lower spine after his last mri showed he was clear he had terrible back/butt pain and could barely walk for a few days. The pain all went away before we really were really worried. Three weeks later the pain came back with no falling or reason. So worry set in quick we took Kolbi to children’s for an X-ray and exams. A week later we saw our oncologist by this time the pain had almost disappeared again and our oncologist said it doesn’t seem like a tumour and he probably pulled muscle but we could do an mri just to be safe.
They found a mass in his spine pushing his spinal cord and another near his tailbone much smaller.
The tumour board met and talked with us giving terrible news. The tumour Kolbi has we were told if it comes back like it has been it almost never stops coming back. If we do surgery it will be much worse and very painful for Kolbi more invasive then his previous surgeries. The surgery could cause paralysis or worse but we won’t know how bad the tumour is wrapped around his spinal cord or what damage has been caused until he wakes up from surgery,then radiation which will cause cell necrosis basically his brain will turn to mush from radiating to much.

We left the hospital with no hope no silver lining and no good news. We haven’t given up hope but it is hard to keep positive with everything going on around us. We have changed his diet to no carbs or sugar all veggies and protein which he loves and has not stopped eating ! He’s on his oils sub ling and topical along with the steroids to help with the swelling in hopes we get more time with Kolbi pain free. We went to Vernon to meet a hippy dippy who had beat the odds another cancer survivor given a death sentence now 7years later no cancer doing the same protocol I’ve heard before which we have started with Kolbi.
I dont know if we have a week a month or year hopefully longer all I know is we are living it like it’s our last and loving all the memories and family time.

Hi everyone Wanted to give an update.... today Kolbi got to hear sounds he has been silenced from since the chemo and radiation damaged his hearing..... kolbi would say mommy "my ears aren't working" and the ever famous "Pardon Meeaaah!!" This is what happened today....
He is thriving and we will be back at BCCH for an MRI on May 17 (Scanxiety ahhhGAIN) and other check ups I have to believe he will pass with flying colors

We have recieved the WORST news.....my nephew Kolbi's cancer has returned. They found another tumor in his brain, and after 2 years of being cancer free he will have a surgery this Friday to have it removed. This time is a little different, he MUST have radiation done in the USA (the only place...

Were spending the Day with Kolbi doing his favorite things at Auntys.
As soon as he walked in the door he asked to have a bath! So....we had a bath! Then had a yummy lunch, went to the park and fed the duckies!
Cherishing today and anticipating more days like today when Kolbi is all better 💙💙💙

Kolbi is doing fantastic!
He started preschool 2 times a week in September and is really enjoying it!
He is chubby as ever and a very healthy and happy boy!

As the elevator doors opened into the lobby of children's hospital this morning Kolbi full on in the loudest voice yells out.... " WoooooooooW This is place is Aaaaaawwwesssooommme!" Created a few Monday morning chuckles! Happy to report that my super trooper is NED....CANCER FREE!!!!

FEUF I won't keep keep up the suspense.kolbi was great today at the hospital. He was happy laughing and chatting away before and after our oncologist looked at the scans with us and said they all look good again not the final report( there are only 2 specialists in BC for final sign off) he is really happy with how he is doing. We had a visit with the nurses upstairs and they were all so shocked to see how amazing kolbi looks. We are very relieved we can relax for another 3 months knowing he is okay and healthy. There are so many people throughout this we are so thankful for all.the support and love from family to complete strangers who have become life long friends THANK CANNABIS first and for most and to all involved in it Corrie Yelland Bill Demiris and Terra Demiris were would we be without you I often think about pre and post cannabis we can't thank you enough. I can't believe we have been out for A YEAR!!! Kate MacPhee and I are so greatful for all the love and support and are so happy to continue to give such great news

Kolbi Had his MRI this morning and his results came back clear..(Jumping for joy X a billion :) )
NO CANCER!!!!!! Because of the aggressive nature and high rate of recurrence from Ependymoma the first 2 years are crucial, therefore MRI's every 3 months and without fail comes Scanxiety, so relieved with todays results :)

On another positive note Kolbis oncologist asked if we would be ok with sharing Kolbis experience with Cannabis Oil with his research team in hopes of getting more studies to help with dosing etc. We need more professionals like him that arent afraid of the TRUTH.

Hi everyone!!! Just wanted to let you all know Kolbi is still thriving and doing GREAT!!! He is enjoying everyday outside playing with his sister, driving her crazy!!! Quite different from how he spent last summer and we are cherishing every moment!! Kolbi has another MRI at the end of the month we pray it will be all clear again! Hope everyone is enjoying the sun :)
