The concert is tomorrow!!
In the words of our lovely MC, :
A heart-ful and important event THIS Saturday, October 12, 2019! This FUNDRAISER AND CONCERT will feature live performances and presentations by some of my wonderful Expressive Arts Therapy colleagues as well as some other very talented local artists and musicians. And I will be your MC for the night (sliiiightly terrifying but I have to be where my heart needs to be, right!? ). The goal is to raise funds to support our Expressive Arts Therapy work with refugee students, and also to raise awareness about the power and importance of this creative approach to working with trauma. In our work with students in schools, we are constantly inspired by the stories, transformation, healing and hope born out of creative expression. We hope you will walk away from this evening a little more touched, hopeful, knowledgeable, compassionate, inspired, and uplifted. We all need to spend a little more time trying to Know By Heart ♥️

Going through my painting archives. I found this print circa 2012 - “Face Of Awakening”.
While researching anatomy I sketched some classical images and then blasted it with acrylic paint. I taped the wet paper to a window as day light shone through it I snapped a photo.
It became a symbol for me.

Our Story

Earth Heart Hum is home to Samuel Romero’s Expressive Arts Therapy Practice. The Expressive Arts aim at inspiring and liberating creativity for personal and collective connection. Painting, drawing, music, dance and writing all voice the richness and depth of life. Life as a spectrum from pain and suffering to joy and bliss allows us to express our unique and beautiful story to generate greater compassion and empathy for all life. As a mode of healing, Expressive Arts Therapy brings life to the creativity stored within the nervous system through play and exploration.
