With over 25 years of executive experience and a lifetime of community involvement, Robin has dedicated herself to causes that matter– from The Gerry and Nancy Pencer Brain Trust to Mount Sinai's Centre for Mature Women's Health. And it all started here, with ICRF, when she first arrived in Toronto from Montreal.

A graduate of Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management, Robin brings the same heart and intention to every boardroom, every campaign, and every relationship she builds. As part of PearTree Canada, she continues to connect donors with causes that create real, lasting impact.

During this Zoom webinar, moderated by Liora Tannenbaum, Sharsheret's Israel Region Director, we’ll discuss how Dr. Grinshpun's ICRF-funded research is changing how doctors monitor cancer treatments, using a simple blood test, or "liquid biopsy."

Dr. Grinshpun currently leads the Breast Oncology Service at Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem (המרכז הרפואי שערי צדק), as well as a research team focused on Women's cancers affiliated with the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (האוניברסיטה העברית).

ICRF recently hosted its annual Scientific Review Panel (SRP) meeting to evaluate and discuss new grant applications submitted by Israeli scientists, for which ICRF received a record amount in 2026! 🎉

This year’s proposals showcased a wide range of exciting, forward-looking ideas across many types and aspects of cancer. Under the leadership of Dr. Nancy Maizels, Vice President of the ICRF International Board of Trustees and Chief Scientific Officer, the meeting brought together 35 esteemed scientists and oncologists representing 27 leading institutions across the U.S. and Canada, all of whom generously gave their time and expertise to advance ICRF’s mission.

We are deeply grateful to our reviewers, whose insights ensure we are funding the most impactful science possible.

Marcy and Leanne both have long histories of philanthropy and community-building. Marcy has chaired Walk with Israel, the March of the Living, and Toronto’s Centennial Mega Mission to Israel. Leanne, with her background as a cognitive behavioural therapy counsellor, founded and organizes the annual Mental Health Empowerment Day symposium with the Koschitzky Centre for Jewish Education.

From the energy at the pre-reception to the meaningful conversations shared over dinner, the room was filled with curiosity, connection, and generosity. Together, we raised over $150,000 in support of life-saving cancer research in Israel—a true reflection of what this community can accomplish. 🙏
