Make scones with us 🫖🍰💕

We made classic English scones for our afternoon tea party last weekend using a simple and delicious recipe from The Cup of Life. They are a little different from North American scones…less sweet, light and fluffy, and perfect with clotted cream and jam 🍓

I may have lost count of the sugar at one point (baking with a little helper can be a bit distracting sometimes 😜), but they still turned out so tasty and were enjoyed by everyone at the tea party 🍽️

I enjoyed a little afternoon tea and treat break after the Easter weekend…chocolate or a warm hot cross bun, which would you pick? I couldn’t decide so had both 😋🫖

Do you ever come across something and just know it is more than an item…and you will keep thinking about it if you leave it behind? 🙈🫖

Scroll to see what it was for me and to step inside Cake and Flowers at The Dorchester 🌸

We arrived early for afternoon tea and wandered in, completely in awe of the beautiful floral displays, pastries, and the stunning tea set used for the experience. The team was so warm and welcoming, letting us take our time, browse, and even treating us to chocolate samples while we waited 💐🍫

It was the one detail I could not stop thinking about, and after such a special afternoon tea, it felt like bringing a little piece of that moment home with me ✨

I know it’s not just something to sit on a shelf, but something that I will use, share, and create more memories around 🫶🏻

And yes…the last photo is me making a very happy escape after the most perfect afternoon! 💗
