So much fun was had with my little prince at the Vernon Winter Carnival Society Prince and Princess Tea Party yesterday 👑🫖

Tea, sandwiches, sweet treats, colouring books for the kids, and entertainment led by Kiki the Eco Elf made it such a special afternoon. Lenny told me his favourite part was all the dancing 🙌

I’ve been making my way back to the library recently and this was one of the books Lenny and I brought home, Meditations on Mindfulness with a Bear Named Pooh 🧸📖

There’s a line in the book that popped out at me: For my little friend Roo, everything’s new! When I am just noticing, it’s new for me, too.

Reading that with my son beside me reminded me how much he changes the way I see things. How new everything can feel when you are really paying attention. Sitting there with a cup of Breakfast tea, his hand pointing at the page, and a stack of library books around us, it all felt simple and full at the same time 💕

P.S. I have always had a soft spot for Winnie the Pooh. The gentleness and simplicity. Anyone else? 🍯

Winter always feels like a natural invitation to slow down and reset ❄️✨
