Gut health is fundamental to our overall health. Gut health plays a role in not only digestion, but also metabolism, hunger cues, bowel regularity, immunity, allergies, mental health, and moods. Probiotics play a key role. You can take a probiotic supplement … and why not enjoy eating your probiotics like I do? Fermented foods support a healthy balance of intestinal flora.
Sip miso soup regularly, 🍲 add sauerkraut or spicy kimchi to your plate 🍽️. For those that eat dairy, kefir is a great option,🥛 and for those who are comfortable with a bit of caffeine and sugar, kombucha 🥤 is delicious. Imagine what your life would look and feel like if the natural theme of your whole life was
gratitude.

During my mindfulness groups, we talk about being thankful for the past, present, and future. When you start the day grateful for your upcoming lunchtime meeting, in ways you are putting your best self forward, rather than bringing dread, worry or anxiety to the meeting or to the hours that precede it. Don’t anticipate and plan for the event to go poorly… plan for it to be wonderful or, at the least, an easy experience. When we look at the world with grateful eyes and a grateful heart, we are more likely to accept things that don’t go as planned and see them as learning experiences… because we are grateful for everything in our lives. Research, and my clinical observations show that some benefits are noticeable after several workouts and some after regular workouts for 3-9 months.

Use weights, exercise tubing, objects in your home such as soup cans, or your own body weight (e.g. push ups, plank pose, etc.)

Make sure to use proper form to reduce your risk of injury and to get the most out of your workouts. If strength training is new to you, or if you have a medical condition, talk to your doctor before starting.

I talk to women who are relieved to be finished with their menstrual cycles. Some view menopause as a turning point into a more mature and authentic life. Some grieve or rail against the changes - lamenting their fertile years and younger body. For some, it is all of these. Responses are individual and unique. Women need whatever time and support they require to move through their menopause experience.
