I recently “outted myself” on my personal page, here’s a little Q&A with some of the messages I’ve received. Some of them I can totally understand but others…. Well I’ll let you read for yourself.
So like you just woke up one day and thought you were a medium?
Nope, I wish! I’ve actually always been like this I just never wanted to admit it publicly. It was hard enough trying to find my place in this universe growing up without that being public knowledge.
Well if you were a medium then wouldn’t you know Tyrone was going to die?
That woulda been nice right? Or not actually! I’m not sure anything would have made that any easier then or now. I can’t just look at people and see a ticking clock over there heads. I did however go through some pretty intense fears a few months before he passed that basically crippled me some days but I had no idea why it was happening. I guess in hind sight I know.
So like if you can see things & know things why haven’t you won the lottery?
Right! I wonder why I haven’t yet either?! Yah again that’s not how this works. If it was then mediums wouldn’t have tv shows instead they’d be famous from the lottery wins.
Okay so what exactly do you do then?
I channel the spirit of you passed loved ones. They give me messages that fit kinda like puzzle pieces but imagine all the piece in a box and it’s my job to figure out how they fit. I also channel your guides so I have an idea of what has happened & what is coming in your life. That’s why I’m an Intuitive medium.
Are you doing this just bc you think you can fake it and make money?
My rates are actually quite low, I understand financial strain due to the pandemic so I’ve tried to accommodate my business. As for the faking part, well I don’t know anything about my clients aside from first names so I guess you could say I’m really good at guessing random correct facts about your passed loved ones then.
Why are you charging people, you got this for free?
Did I though? I mean it’s taken a pretty big chunk of my life. As mediums we spend money on programs, clearing, stones (we swear by these) sage, advancing our gifts from other mediums, learning new services such as reiki but at the end of the day it’s our time & energy.
If I bring something in my pocket to a reading will you know I have it hiding?
Maybe, if it’s something your loved one wants me to bring up then they’ll tell me but they really don’t care about random objects the way we do here anymore so they’d rather spend the time telling you things you need to know or just connecting.
Do your kids know what you do and do they tell friends?
Yes, I’m very transparent with them & my oldest has a lot of the same gifts I do, I’m not sure who they tell I mean “hey my mom talks to dead people” isn’t an ice breaker.
So like can you go to the grocery store and read everyone there?
Could I? Maybe. Would I ever want to? No! Reading is exhausting. Like your job I don’t walk around working all the time. When I’m not sitting with a client I generally am not tuned into energy. Some people just aren’t open to a medium and that makes my job incredibly hard so generally if somebody isn’t asking me I try to turn it off. There are times loved ones don’t take no for an answer and I’m stuck with them telling me messages regardless.
But like can you see dead people walking around?
It doesn’t quite work that way. I mean maybe some mediums do but trust me there’s not just random spirit trolling around the streets they have better things to do.
Do people test you?
All.The.Time. Even my friends have. I used to spend time trying to please everyone but I gave up that idea. It’s not my job to convince anyone, it’s my job to give messages and insight to those who seek it from me.
But you don’t just read people randomly?
I do. Like the time I sat beside my friend who didn’t know what I did and started talking about her passed grandmother & even called her by her middle name. I generally try not to just because not everyone is welcoming to spirit.
Are you saying you see dead people like that movie the sixth sense?
That would scare the crap outta me. Have I seen spirit with my eyes? Yes I have. Do I like when it happens? No I don’t. Imagine you have a white board in your mind and randomly images appear on it. It’s kinda like that except not like that at all. It’s hard to explain I suppose.
Why don’t you just talk to Tyrone then and not be upset he died?
Well you see if that were a thing, who am I kidding it’s not a thing. Okay so could I connect to Tyrone? Yes. When I read clients I’m receiving information only they would know from there loved ones, there’s simply no way I could know what I’m relaying. I know Tyrone so it would be hard to connect with things I already know.
Do you see mediums yourself?
Sure! I have many gifted friends whom I support and will continue to support there businesses.
How come I saw another medium and they didn’t say the word I told my grandpa to say?
Spirit works on a “what you need to hear” basis, not what you want. Sometimes yes they will say “talk about the keys” because you asked them to but others they could care less what you want.
So you don’t think people pretend to be mediums there’s just so many out there?
Oh no, I think people will take advantage of those who are hurting, broken, and seeking a small glimmer of hope that they’ve not entirely lost the person they love. It’s why my job is so hard, because of people who do this. My goal is to show you that life doesn’t end when it stops. We continue to maintain those connections just simply in another way. Our loved ones don’t miss out on anything in fact they have the best seat in the house.
