Where to start, I went to Metamorphosis Centre for change on June 9, 2023. I was very broken and had a major drinking and drug addiction, however drinking was the root to all my problems. I was depressed and did not want to be alive any longer, I hated the person I was and could not stand living in my own skin.
Metamorphosis saved my life, the support, the resources, the love staff who treated me with respect even when I did not respect myself. The meals were fantastic, I went into the center very skinny and I left the center loving food. I had counselling every day and a fantastic psychotherapist. Psychiatrist to help manage medication if needed, Doctors available, and on site nursing staff.
We did motivation, meditation, yoga, Thai Chi, gym time, a personal trainer, long walks and so much more. The aftercare and being able to contact the centre for support when entering back into you home life was also very special and much needed. The family support and counselling that was offered to my mom to help her understand the treatment and my abdication.
I was shown how to love myself, how to overcome my addictions and to live a happy and healthy life free from hurt, pain and addiction.
From the moment I walked into the centre a scared little boy, I was greeted by Vicky with a big smile. Vicky is a fantastic counsellor and person, she went above her job duties to help support me and make me feel safe and comfortable. I will never forget what she did. Jeff my main man showed me that not all men are evil. Jeff believed in me and never stop fighting to help me see my potential.
Sarah was always smiling and wearing pink, she listened and gave great feedback and advice.
Rick has the biggest heart, runs a fantastic group and believes in us. Loved that man like a father.
Jenn was my head counsellor, boy did I give her a heard time. I was broken and did not understand why she was always so good to me. She is honestly one in a million, I am thankful for her every day. She gave me so many tools and resources that I will use for the rest of my life. She showed me love and that I can love who I am. Jenn you are and always will be someone who saved my from my old life. Jenn believed in me and never stopped fighting for me, she showed me something I never new existed. I am thankful and great full every day for you Jen.
All the staff are amazing and very good at what they do, they always made time for me when I need someone to talk with. They never made you feel like you were bothering them even if they were in the middle of doing something. Frank and Chris are very lucky to have such a warm and welcoming group of people working for them.
I want to thank Frank and Chris for opening metamorphosis centre for change. This place saved my life and I will never forget what the both of you did. Thank you and I am blessed and great full for everything.
The first picture I posted is what I looked like going into the center, I am now like35lbs heavier and so healthy. 125 days sober and never looking back.
