The kids had the BEST time at their Christmas party! Everyone was invited — parents, siblings, and grandparents — and it was such a special celebration. A huge thank you to Glitter Pop Pixies for making soooo many balloon animals for the kids. They were a huge hit! 🎄🎈

✨ We haven’t posted in a while… because we’ve been too busy having fun! ✨

And the fun isn’t slowing down — we have so many exciting days ahead and can’t wait to share them with you!

Lately we’ve been bringing the snow inside for sensory bin play (a huge hit!), creating tornadoes in bottles, having dance parties, and heading out for some chilly walks. ❄️💃🌪️

We’re also so close to having our outdoor space ready, which means even more adventures coming soon!

And of course, this month our elf Darwin returned and has already been getting into plenty of mischief and fun. 🎄✨

🧡👻 Halloween Party Fun at Jr’s Daycare! 👻🧡

We had so much fun celebrating Halloween today! Our daycare was filled with the cutest costumes — from Cinderella and Rapunzel to a cuddly bear, adorable Bluey, a sweet little kitty, a brave firefighter, Superman saving the day, Mickey Mouse, and so many more! ✨🎭

Even Sharky came for a visit! 🦈💙 And of course, our amazing staff joined in on the fun, dressing up and celebrating right alongside the kiddos!

We played games, explored our spooky sensory table, and enjoyed all the best Halloween snacks! 🍬🎃

🎃👻 Trick or Treat at Jr’s Daycare! 👻🎃

We’re all dressed up and ready for some spooky fun! Stop by the daycare today to trick or treat and show off your fabulous costumes — we can’t wait to see all our little ghosts, superheroes, and princesses! ✨

Field Trip Fun at the Royal Alberta Museum! 🚌✨

Today Jr’s Daycare took our school-age kiddos (Grade 1+) on an exciting field trip to the Royal Alberta Museum! With school out and museum admission free for kids, we jumped at the chance for a day full of learning and adventure.

The kids explored Indigenous culture exhibits, enjoyed lunch together, and then headed to the animal exhibit where they saw some amazing displays — including bison skeletons! Fun fact: all 7 kids and 2 teachers together weigh about the same as a female bison! 🦬

We learned about wolves, bears, and the Ice Age, and even spotted turtles and snakes. In the bug exhibit, the kids got to pet a centipede and see a giant stick bug bigger than an adult’s hand! They were fascinated by the black widow spider and dazzled by the beautiful rocks and gems from Alberta and around the world.

It was a day full of curiosity, laughter, and learning — the perfect mix of fun and discovery with friends! 💛

✨ This past week at daycare was full of fun and laughter! ✨

We had a blast with bubbles, dress-up, and dance parties! The kids loved playing with the parachute and making lots of creative crafts. We also welcomed some new friends to our group — everyone had so much fun playing together, especially with the food toys! 🍎🥦

Our little ones enjoyed some tasty meals this week too — cheesy eggs with ham and broccoli, hearty beef barley soup (a big hit!), and pancakes with ham and raspberries. 🥞💛

🌟 These past two weeks at Jr’s Daycare have been filled with so much fun, learning, and laughter! 🌟

The kids explored all kinds of developmental activities 🧩🎨 — from playing ponies 🐴, hide-and-seek 🙈, coloring 🖍️, water tables 💦, and sensory bins ✨, to community walks 🚶‍♀️🌳 and, of course, spending time with friends ❤️.

And we can’t forget about the delicious meals and snacks! 🥗🍎 Some favorites included chicken quesadillas with carrots & dip 🌮🥕, mini pizza muffins with salad 🍕🥗, grilled chicken with sweet potatoes & corn 🍗🍠🌽, Taco Tuesday 🌮, sweet & sour meatballs with homemade mac & cheese 🍝, and ham & cucumber wraps with Tostitos 🥒🥪. Plus, so many yummy snacks like yogurt with berries 🍓, bananas 🍌, oranges 🍊, and more!

🌟 Meet Alice! 🌟

Alice is one of our amazing student staff! She’s always ready to lend a hand and loves helping out her fellow staff members with whatever is needed. You’ll often find her assisting with cleaning, helping at lunch, filing paperwork, and of course—spending time playing with the kids.

Alice loves seeing the children happy and having fun, and she has a special gift for supporting them when they’re feeling overwhelmed.

💫 Alice’s superpower: Helping kids regulate and find their calm.

In her spare time, Alice enjoys reading and relaxing with a good book. She also has a love for coffee, books, and bats. 🦇☕📚

🌟 Meet Emma! 🌟

Emma is one of our amazing part-time staff, usually working three days a week. She first found her love for childcare as a babysitter and nanny, and that passion has grown into a true joy for working with kids.

Emma loves hanging out with the children, watching their personalities shine, and connecting with her coworkers. She’s a true team player, floating between both rooms and jumping in wherever she’s needed.

💫 Emma’s superpower: Crafting! She has a special talent for creating fun, new projects with the kids.

Outside of work, Emma enjoys skateboarding, snowboarding, biking, swimming, and of course—babysitting. She also has a ton of creative hobbies like diamond painting, fuse beads, kandi and pony bead creations, and making special things for the kiddos!

She’s a fan of iced capps, wolves, and (of course) all things crafting. 🐺✨

🌟 Meet Rheanne! 🌟

Rheanne is the second owner of Jr’s Daycare and brings with her 16 years of experience in the childcare field. She absolutely loves working with children and is also a proud and busy mom of three wonderful boys.

Rheanne is passionate about bringing love, laughter, and joy into the lives of the children, families, and staff she works with. Building strong connections with families is something she truly values, helping to create a warm and supportive daycare community. While she spends much of her time handling office tasks and paperwork, you’ll often spot her in the classrooms—jumping in to spend time with the kids and lending a hand wherever she’s needed.💫 her superpower: She sees everything!

When she’s not at work, Rheanne enjoys coloring, hanging out with her boys, and relaxing with some TV.

Fun fact: She’s also a big fan of coffee, butter horns from Keri’s, penguins 🐧—and cheering on her Edmonton Oilers! 🏒💙🧡
