NON-SURGICAL SPINAL DECOMPRESSION THERAPY

Spinal Decompression Therapy

Spinal decompression therapy is a non-invasive treatment designed to alleviate pressure on compressed areas of the spine. It effectively reduces pain, enhances mobility, and helps restore normal spinal function. This therapy is commonly used to treat conditions such as herniated discs, sciatica, spinal stenosis, and degenerative disc disease. The primary goal of spinal decompression is to relieve symptoms associated with these conditions, avoiding the need for costly or invasive treatments.

Spinal Decompression Therapy involves the use of a computer-controlled adjustable table that applies a gentle, distracting force along the length of the spine. This force is administered in cycles, with varying pressures and intensities over time, helping to reduce pressure on compressed nerves and discs. The process also increases blood flow, which can reduce inflammation and promote healing in the affected areas.

The benefits of spinal decompression therapy have been supported by clinical studies and anecdotal evidence from patients who have undergone the treatment. Many patients report effective pain relief for specific types of back and neck pain. Additionally, this therapy has been successfully used to treat other conditions, including scoliosis, headaches related to neck issues, and general discomfort caused by muscle spasms or tension in the surrounding muscles and ligaments.

Physiotherapy for Sprains, Torticollis, and More
Physiotherapy for sprains, torticollis, and similar conditions focuses on alleviating pain, improving mobility, and supporting recovery. This approach helps reduce inflammation, enhance flexibility, and strengthen affected areas, promoting overall healing and functional improvement.

Orthopedic Manual Therapy

Orthopedic manual therapy is a specialized area of physiotherapy that involves an individualized therapeutic approach to assessing and treating muscles, joints, and nerve tissues. This approach includes detailed evaluations, clinical reasoning, and identifying the root cause of the problem.

This therapy is used to address pain, stiffness, and restricted movement resulting from orthopedic injuries or conditions. It involves a range of hands-on techniques that target the spine, arms, and legs, with each treatment tailored to meet your specific needs.

The McKenzie approach

The McKenzie approach is a specialized physiotherapy method aimed at reducing or relieving pain and numbness in the neck, back, or limbs by identifying the underlying mechanical cause and the movement direction that offers the most relief. This dynamic, active approach empowers the therapist to equip patients with tools that support the healing process.

After an assessment, your physiotherapist will explain your condition and provide guidance on proper postures and movements to avoid. Additionally, they will prescribe specific, progressive strengthening exercises tailored to your needs. This technique is effective for a variety of conditions, including chronic low back pain, herniated discs, sciatica, stiff neck, whiplash, and more.

L’approche McKenzie
