Education:

• Negative Vulnerable Sector Police Clearance
• Demonstrate an ability to communicate clearly, sensitively, and with respect
• Demonstrate mature and sound judgement
• Experience is not required but would be considered an asset.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide personal care with duties that may include skin care, hair care, mouth care, bathing, bowel and bladder care, positioning and movement, exercise, basic wound care, feeding including special diets, and assistance with oxygen administration and medication reminder.
• Provide personal care service according to directions on the established care plan and ensure that on an ongoing basis, the emotional, physical comfort, and safety of clients are met to the greatest possible extent.
• Document client conditions, tasks completed, and report unusual events or changes in condition to the Supervisor.
• Understand and adhere to WWMD Policies and Procedures
• Implement infection prevention practices.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training as required.
• Participates in proactive Health & Safety activities while performing all duties and report and concerns to the Supervisor
• Always maintains confidentiality of client and company information.
• Complete other tasks as requested.

Part-time Office Assistant opportunity (Whitby) – WWMD Home Care is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated part-time Office Assistant to join our team. If you are looking to learn, grow and excel in a caring work environment we want to hear from you!

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Assisting management with tasks such as invoicing, payroll and scheduling
- Answering the phone in a timely manner, scheduling
consultations, and answering any questions our clients may
have
- Performing all required administrative duties
- Ensuring patient confidentiality by maintaining a clean and
organized office area

Qualifications:

- Grade 12 Diploma
- Enrolled in or obtained a post-secondary education in
Office/Business Administration, Marketing, or Accounting
considered a strong asset and will be preferred
- Proficient in MS Office (MS Word, Excel, Outlook) and prior
experience with accounting systems is an asset
- Demonstrates experience and interest in working with a population of older adults and people with disabilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
