Specialized cardiac care, close to home. 1,600 fewer trips to Winnipeg. That’s what transformational giving looks like.
Colleen and Bill Lyne’s $750,000 gift didn’t just launch our Future is Now capital campaign, it set the tone for the wave of community generosity that followed. Thanks to Colleen and Bill, BTHC’s new echocardiography suite is bringing specialized cardiac services to BTHC, and saving up to 1,600 trips to Winnipeg for our community.
Why does this matter? Think about who makes that drive today. An older adult who no longer drives, a patient already unwell, a family member taking another day off work just to get their loved one to an appointment. For cardiac patients, an echocardiogram isn't a one-time test. It can mean repeat visits over years of monitoring and care. To offer this level of care, close to home, is a testament to who Colleen and Bill are, people who give quietly, generously, and without hesitation, across every corner of this community. The BTHC Foundation is just one of the many places that carries their fingerprints and we are so grateful. Thank you, Colleen and Bill. ❤

A wonderful interview with BTHC's Palliative Care Volunteer Coordinator, the lovely Jerri-Ann Froese. Jerri-Ann gives so much of herself to this role, offering care and compassion that impacts our patients, families and staff.
The BTHC Foundation is proud to support this position and recognizes the incredible value that Jerri-Ann and her volunteers bring to our hospital. This role is made possible through your generous support of the Foundation. Thank you. ❤️

We’re celebrating the purchase of a new MRI head coil! It might not look like much, but it makes a big difference, delivering higher-quality images and greater patient comfort thanks to its adjustability. Our specialized neuro‑radiologist here at BTHC especially appreciates the enhanced image clarity now available.
The MRI Suite has seen a wide range of staff-driven improvements recently. The scanner was rebuilt in October 2024 and received a software upgrade in the spring of 2025, the first of its kind in Canada. By the fall, the MRI team was fully staffed and has brought wait times down from 47 weeks to just 10. BTHC now operates the fastest MRI scanner in the province. 👏👏
The MRI suite also received a warm new look with welcoming paint tones and soothing lighting, all driven by the MRI staff who wanted to create a more comfortable experience for patients. On especially busy days, this incredible team can complete up to 60 scans a day.
A big thank‑you to everyone who supports advancements like these. Your generosity helps make exceptional care possible, closer to home. ❤

✨ What an inspiring evening celebrating 25 years of community care and generosity at the Boundary Trails Health Centre Foundation Gala!
From heartfelt stories of dedication to exciting plans for the future, the night was a beautiful reminder of what we can achieve when our region comes together to support healthcare close to home.
👏 Congratulations to the Foundation on this incredible milestone — and to Brent Menzies, newly appointed Board Chair, as he leads the next chapter of growth and impact.
Here’s to many more years of compassion, collaboration, and community strength! 🏥

25 years ago, a simple but powerful idea took hold. Enhanced healthcare should be close to home, accessible to everyone, and rooted in the heart of the communities it serves. Since then, the BTHC Foundation has worked every day to make that idea a reality.
25 years of patients served, families supported, and a community made healthier and stronger together. Thank you. ❤

Last week, it was our honour to tour Access Credit Union through the Child and Youth Rehabilitation Centre, built as part of the BTHC expansion. As our community's new hub for centralized and specialized rehabilitation, our partnership with Access Credit Union supports children and families right here at home.
Thank you Access Credit Union for your $500,000 commitment to our young patients and rehab teams! ❤

What an amazing day on the ice! This year’s Kurling for Kids Pembina Valley built on last year’s momentum with more teams, more fun, and more funds raised in support of the Child and Youth Rehabilitation Centre at BTHC. 🥌❤💙
Thank you to the curlers and volunteers for your enthusiasm and generosity. And a special thank you as well to BTHC's Rehabilitation Services team for taking part in the day. Because of you, local children and families will continue to receive the specialized care and support they need, close to home. Thank you for making a difference!

Thank you to the organizers and speakers at this year's Winnipeg Women’s Conference for creating an energizing space for learning, connection, and leadership. It was an honour to attend alongside strong leaders from Access Credit Union, Menzies Medical Centre and the Morden Chamber of Commerce.
