HHH works with children and teens of all ages. Kids can benefit from massage by reducing their general tension (lots of school and Covid19 stress/anxiety right now), healing injuries, and reducing pain from growing pains. Growing pains (osgood-slatters disease) occur when the bones grow faster than the muscles and tendons, causing a lot of muscle tightness and pulling at the tendon insertion (just below the knee joint).

Children can be very restless and full of energy, so we generally start with a 30 minute massage. We don’t use screens to entertain HHH kids; instead we sing, play games, and do lots of chatting. Otherwise, they like to ask “how much time do I have left?” every 2-5 minutes! We can make them their own music playlist or play guessing games like guess the name of the string quartet cover, guess the character, guess what the French word is for... each treatment is tailored to their individual needs!

This month is the 2nd birthday of my mobile/home based business of Holistic Home Health. Quick 🥳 fact: HHH is actually older than 2 years old, as it was created in 2017 in Edmonton, AB, but 2 years old for the Winnipeg chapter. In Edmonton, I was a practicing massage therapist and licensed practical nurse and offered advanced foot care along with massage therapy services. I no longer have my nursing license as I let it lapse in Alberta with all my moving. I have now been on a 2 year and 4 month battle trying to get my license back (long story but DON’T EVER LET YOUR LICENSE LAPSE!!!!).

Changes for Holistic Home Health for 2021:

🎂 HHH will remain a mobile massage therapy service, and will now offer a home based massage room, (in sage creek near the sobeys).

🎂 adding vital signs as a free add on to your massage (able to take blood pressure, oxygen levels, pulse, respirations in the home). If called out to only take vital signs for someone who may be too anxious to leave their home, or it’s too difficult for them to get out - 15.00.

🎂 more evening appointments available. Day time hours remain Sundays/Wednesdays/Fridays and sometimes Tuesdays. I only have one Sunday evening available for the month of January if anyone is looking....Jan 10.

🎂 just a reminder that new price increases began January 1, 2020 with a 5.00 increase per service.

🎂 deep tissue, relaxation, massage cupping, chair massage, pre-natal massages are available. Some basic lymph drainage can also be offered.

I would like to take the time to let you all know that come January 1, 2021, HHH’s prices will increase by $5.00. An email was recently sent out to all clients. You still have this month to take advantage of the current pricing, use up any leftover benefits and/or buy gift certificates at the current price.

45 min - $70.00

75 min - $100.00
90 min - $115.00

Today, Manitoba heads into critical code red. I just want to let all my clients know that massage therapists are allowed to continue to provide service, as we are a regulated profession. This is so important right now, to be able to continue to help people control their pain and stress levels.

My mobile massage business, Holistic Home Health, remains open. I will continue to wear PPE in the home and have switched to wearing a surgical mask (since September). All equipment is cleaned and disinfected.

New update regarding Norwex masks. There was a bit of upset this morning due to how long it is taking to get these masks. I completely understand. Things are opening back up and more places are requiring masks.

So I have reached out to my consultant friends across Canada (east coast, west coast and central) and I have 4 friends who have agreed to help me out so we can get people their masks! So that means on Tuesday, there will be 5 of us trying to help fill some of these orders. The masks are such good quality, I just want everyone to have one!

Again, I can’t guarantee anything at this time as I do not how many any of us will get them and they are all selling out so fast. Several shipments have sold out in under a minute. But we are all trying and I hope we will be somewhat successful!

Update on the Norwex masks: I apologize for the long wait but no one had anticipated such a high demand on these masks.

Several batches have been released for consultants up until now. Each batch has sold out within a minute of being released. Today's release covered the last of the consultants and now the next batch is finally being released on Tuesday, for customers. This batch will be grey and pink. Each batch is a different colour now. I have seen, white, grey, opal pink, darker pink, and purple for the masks.

I am allowed to try to order (or reserve) 26 masks on Tuesday of these two colours. If I am successful, I will be allowing everyone who has reserved the mask, 1 each at this time, so that we can try to get them out to as many people as possible. I will take into consideration who messaged me first, and who is in a higher risk category for complications related to COVID19.

Unfortunately, I am unable at this time to ship out to other provinces. My 26 must be shipped to me, so these masks will go out to people who live in the Winnipeg area.
