Craig had a rough start at the beginning of September. He was unresponsive at home, and had to be taken to emergency by ambulance. He had an infection inside of his leg, and was septic.

The good news? While in hospital, he received a call from Toronto that there was a liver available.

The bad news? He got a call back minutes later letting him know that there was someone more in need. Also, because of his infection, he would not have been eligible for the surgery. He was temporarily taken off the list.

Craig is now doing well, and is back on the transplant list. Our next call could be any day now.

We are still struggling with the associated costs (prescriptions, legal, ambulance, transportation, meals, etc.).

We are excited that the transplant is just around the corner, but we’re also concerned about covering the costs, and the missed work.

Thank you so much to everyone who has donated.

If you’re thinking about donating, no amount is too small.

Can’t donate? Please share. It would mean the world to us.

Craig is home now. He still has some medical concerns (aside from the liver stuff), but his mental health was deteriorating in the hospital, so we all agreed that being home was the better choice.

Unflattering pic, because taking them gives me joy 😉

Craig was once again allowed to leave the hospital, even though he is confused. He walked for several miles, fell, and hit his head. An ambulance was called, and he’s in emergency, but I’m not being allowed to see him.

I am very afraid for him, and I am concerned that the hospital is unable to keep him safe.

Please keep him in your thoughts.

Edit: I finally am with him.

A bit of a better day today, which means he’s keeping the staff on their toes. (Sorry 😬)

Also, some pretty flowers to brighten up the room, and our spirits. Thank you!

Not a great day today. Craig really wants to come home, but he’s not well enough. It’s getting him down.

He slept almost all day today, and wasn’t able to stay awake for a visit.

He did get some fancy new wheels, so he can get some fresh air.

Craig is still in hospital, and is improving daily. He’s getting some colour back — pink! He’d been yellow and pale since Tuesday; this is a nice improvement 🥰

He’s eating well, and is able to get out of bed a little bit.

Thank you to everyone who has messaged, shared and liked these posts, and visited. It means the world to Craig 💚

Craig will be at the hospital for the next while. We’re unsure what’s going on, but he’s likely battling an infection.

He was lucid today, ate and drank, and even joked around a bit.
He doesn’t remember most of yesterday.

He cried when I read him all of your messages. He’s scared, and your outpouring of love and support really means a lot to him.
