Craig had a rough start at the beginning of September. He was unresponsive at home, and had to be taken to emergency by ambulance. He had an infection inside of his leg, and was septic.
The good news? While in hospital, he received a call from Toronto that there was a liver available.
The bad news? He got a call back minutes later letting him know that there was someone more in need. Also, because of his infection, he would not have been eligible for the surgery. He was temporarily taken off the list.
Craig is now doing well, and is back on the transplant list. Our next call could be any day now.
We are still struggling with the associated costs (prescriptions, legal, ambulance, transportation, meals, etc.).
We are excited that the transplant is just around the corner, but we’re also concerned about covering the costs, and the missed work.
Thank you so much to everyone who has donated.
If you’re thinking about donating, no amount is too small.
