Hello there, friends.
Soooo.
Here we are.
Almost 9 months into this thing and it has been interesting, to say the least.
To make sure we are all on the same page I wanted to post a quick update.
1) No, my clinic is not affected by Code Red.
As I am a sole practitioner that sees 1 client at a time, I do not have any new limitations to my practice. As far as ya’ll are concerned, it’s business as usual over here. Book until your hearts content! Most of you probably even have a good chunk of insurance coverage to be used up in the next 2 months… just saying...
2) Yes, you have to wear a mask at all times.
Previously I had been more lenient about wearing a mask when clients were face down but as time has gone on and we start to understand more about this virus, along with the rampant increase in local cases, it has become clear that it poses too much of a risk for you, myself, and all other clients in my office on the same day. Masks are now mandatory from the moment you enter the building to the moment you leave. Please do not take your mask off while you are changing or while you are face down. Yes, I know it is annoying but it's just what we have to do right now.
3) Yes, you need to send me proof of clearance by the Shared health COVID-19 screening tool before each and every treatment you come in for.
All of my clients are intelligent human beings so this one seems self explanatory. And if it isn’t, the directions are written in every appointment reminder that gets sent out. Please read each email fully.
If any one has any further questions about protocols, or even questions on self massage or releases to do while you’re at home, please do not hesitate to reach out. I’m always happy to help.
Also, if it is any consolation to anyone who is nervous about seeing me for treatment, let me assure you that I am basically a hermit now. Aside from an aloof pre-teen dog who seems to be strictly following the social distancing protocols when it comes to giving me attention, I live alone. I do contactless grocery pickup, order takeout for contactless delivery, and it has been more than a month since I was last in a retail store. I also have no friends (kidding, not kidding) so my “bubble” consists of myself and occasionally my sister, who is also taking the pandemic extremely seriously. Basically, I am doing everything in my power to limit the risk of this virus entering my clinic.
For those of you who have continued to see me, and helped to keep my bills paid throughout this pandemic - I am eternally grateful. For those of you who I haven’t seen back - I completely understand. I truly miss you all and hope I’ll get to see each of you again at some point soon. For now, be safe.
