Yesterday was a special day in Milano Cortina for the science, and a shared vision for the future of sport
Our chair of the scientific commission Professor Yannis Pitsiladis and the HKBU delegation met with Prof. Fabio Pigozzi, President of FIMS - International Federation of Sports Medicine to update him on the environmental-intelligence research we have been conducting across Olympic venues.
What made the day truly special was not only the science but the spirit of collaboration behind it. Prof Pigozzi and the entire Milano–Cortina 2026 Medical Service, together with the Local Organising Committee, have been instrumental in enabling this work. Without their trust, openness, and support, our research simply could not have happened.
Importantly, they agreed to continue their environmental monitoring efforts throughout the Paralympic Games, extending our dataset and strengthening the scientific legacy that Milano–Cortina will leave to future host cities and federations.

Thank you to our chair of Scientific commission Prof Yannis Pitsiladis and the President of FIMS Pfor Fabio Pigozzi, not only for their leadership and the commitment to advancing sports medicine globally. Thanks to our Secretary General
Sandra Rozenštoka that is part of this journey and all her efforts
Milano–Cortina 2026 is proving that when science and sport work together, the outcome is more than a moment — it becomes a legacy
