Internship at Social Centre Buea with Para-Counsellors cohort 3. The chief of center took the students on Internship to the INCLUSIVE DEVELOPMENT NETWORK AFRICA 🌍 (IN DEV) which is under the social welfare to see how therapy is given to Autistic children, Children with Down Syndrome and physically Disabled children.

The center is based on providing different types of therapy and Educational programs for persons with disabilities, promoting human rights and disability rights, Empowering professional and parents through workshops and training on working with person's with disabilities.

Meet our team on internship at the Buea General Hospital

Prime Counselling Services Cameroon was privileged to attend a one-day training on the Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA) organized by SUDAHSER Foundation at the Pan-African Institute of West Africa on Wednesday 25 March 2026, bringing together NGO actors from different organizations. Prime Counselling Services Cameroon represented by our Gender Officer.

The training covered key humanitarian principles such as humanity, neutrality, impartiality, and independence, alongside the IASC core principles and code of conduct. It also gave a clear understanding of sexual exploitation, sexual abuse, and sexual harassment within humanitarian settings, and the risks that can arise when power is not handled with care.

Practical guidance was shared on community engagement and accountability, with simple steps to help organizations better listen to and respond to the people they serve. Data protection was also highlighted as an important part of safeguarding dignity and building trust.

This training strengthens the capacity of Prime Counselling Services Cameroon to promote safe, respectful, and accountable services. Appreciation is extended to SUDAHSER Foundation for creating this learning space and for their commitment to strengthening safeguarding practices across organizations.

Greetings to everyone 👋

This week’s radio session focused on understanding the power of social connections to navigate life changes. The discussion highlighted how family, friends, colleagues, and community networks provide emotional support, practical help, and guidance during major transitions like moving, starting a new job, experiencing loss, or facing uncertainty.

The speakers explained the different ways social connections improve mental and physical well-being, reduce stress, and help people make better decisions.

Also, emphasizes were made highlighting practical steps listeners can take, such as reaching out to trusted people, maintaining communication, and participating in community or social activities to strengthen support networks.

Overall, the session encouraged everyone to value their relationships and actively build connections, reminding listeners that no one has to face life changes alone.
