"𝗡𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗧𝘂𝗺𝗲: 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲"
A simple story of love, health, and home.
In the busy city of Yaoundé, many people struggle to find good healthcare. Hospitals are full. Time is short. Money is tight. And sometimes, people just don’t know where to go.
That’s where Nurse Tume steps in.
Her real name is Tanyu Clarisse Tume, a proud Mukulah daughter with a big heart.
For over four years, she served as a bedside nurse watching, learning and feeling. In hospital corridors, she heard the cries of patients who came late, who struggled to afford treatment, who simply couldn’t keep up with the system. She saw families torn between work and care. And she knew something had to change.
"𝐈 𝐬𝐚𝐰 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐝 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐛𝐲 𝐭𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐫 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧,” 𝐬𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐲𝐬. “𝐒𝐨 𝐈 𝐝𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐝𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐩.”
From wound dressing to medication management, pharmacies need, to simply linking you to the right hospital. Nurse Tume is that sister, that daughter, that caregiver many silently pray for. With her home care services and a newly opened Pro Pharmacy at Centre de Handicapé, she continues to serve with love, humility, and honesty in a city where good care can sometimes feel out of reach.
For many in Yaoundé, she’s not just a nurse she’s family. A woman who understands. A Mukulah daughter who makes us all proud.
So if you ever feel alone in your health journey, remember healing doesn't only live in hospitals. Sometimes, it comes wrapped in the gentle hands of someone like Nurse Tume.
“Your health is her priority.
And her care… comes from the heart.
