On this Youth week, let’s talk about the silent battles many young people are facing.

Silent diseases like sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are affecting more youths than we realize. Many STIs show little or no symptoms at the early stages, yet they can lead to serious complications, infertility, long-term health problems, and even death if left untreated.

Today, some youths are dying young not only because of accidents or violence, but also because of neglected health issues, lack of regular check-ups, misinformation, stigma, and fear of seeking medical help.

This Youth week, let’s choose awareness over ignorance, testing over assumptions, and prevention over regret. Your health is your future — get informed, get tested, and speak up.

But come to think of it , what in your opinion could be the reason why young people whom we say are the LEADERS OF TOMORROW are dying soo while the old are celebrating 80 years anniversaries and above ? Getting to 50 now seems like a hard struggle but why?

Today is Youth Day, and if there’s one truth every Cameroonian youth understands, it’s this: we carry dreams in one hand and responsibilities in the other. We face uncertainty, limited opportunities, and daily struggles; yet we continue to rise with courage and determination. 🇨🇲

As a youth founder, I’m proud that MedVAULT is more than just an idea, it is impact in motion. We employ young people directly and collaborate with 6 hospitals and 12 doctors, alongside many healthcare stakeholders, to strengthen healthcare delivery in Cameroon. This is proof that young people are not just the future: we are the present builders.

To every young person pushing forward despite the odds: your resilience matters. Keep learning, keep building, keep believing. Cameroon needs your ideas, your strength, and your voice. Happy Youth Day from all of us at MedVAULT. 💙✨

💔 This is a true reminder we can’t ignore…

I once had a friend who always said, “I’m fine. I don’t need hospital unless I’m very sick.”
No routine check-ups. No tests. Life was busy, and health was always postponed.

Then one day, he started feeling unwell. Weakness. Pain. Things he could no longer ignore.
He rushed to the hospital.

The diagnosis shook everyone: Cancer – Stage 3.

At that point, it was already advanced. Treatment options were limited. The disease had gone too far.
Doctors said the same painful thing we often hear too late: “If this was detected earlier…”

Sadly, he passed away.

Today, he has left behind a pregnant wife and a toddler who will grow up knowing their father only through stories and photos 😔.

What hurts the most is knowing this could have been avoided.
Routine check-ups could have spotted it early.
Early detection could have saved his life.

So I ask you sincerely—
❓ Will you still ignore routine medical checks?
❓ Isn’t it better to know what’s happening in your body now, while something can still be done?

🩺 Early check-ups save lives.
Don’t wait until it’s too late. Do it for yourself. Do it for those who depend on you.

💙 Your health is your responsibility.
