Recommended the Sonic Electric Toothbrush to *avoid* gum problems. The thing is - you must use it gently and at the correct angle. 45-degree angle into the gum line, without pressure. Then follow the contours of each tooth as you go around. If you're right-handed be extra careful to get the pitch correct on the right side, vice versa if you're left-handed. It strengthens your gums if you do it this way. Definitely whitens!!!
