Nurotron CI Channels
The 24 independent cochlear channels in the Nurotron cochlear implant mean it can precisely break down complex sound signals into 24 consecutive frequency levels, accurately covering key speech frequency bands from the richness of low frequencies to the crispness of high frequencies. Each channel precisely corresponds to a specific frequency region of the spiral ganglion cells within the cochlea, achieving precise "point-to-point" electrical stimulation. The more channels, the richer the "details" of the sound. Like a piano keyboard, the more keys, the more precise the stimulation and the more delicate the sound. Nurotron aims to do more than just "restore hearing," but to enable every user to live a more fulfilling life in this world of sound.

Auditory Training (Detailed Approach)
⭐ Strengthen perception and comparison of sound presence, volume in a quiet environment. Ask family members to produce two sounds of different durations, intensities, and speeds for you to distinguish, and then try to imitate their sounds.
⭐Maintain a listening habit and memorize the sounds you hear. For example, sounds of the natural environment (thunder and rain), musical instruments, television programs, etc.
⭐Record the sounds you hear in a notebook, confirm with family members, and practice repeatedly.
⭐Maintain a relaxed and pleasant mood, close your eyes, and play sound recognition games with your family in a safe environment.

After cochlear implant activation, rehabilitation training is essential; this is a process that requires patient practice. Let's practice becoming familiar with sounds through the following activities:
When outdoors, learn to listen carefully to the sounds around you：
⭐Park (chirping of insects and birds, the sound of the breeze rustling through leaves, etc.)
⭐Shopping mall/market (audio broadcasts, conversations, etc.)
⭐Road (car horns, sounds of vehicles, etc.)

Auditory Training (Home Use)
After your cochlear implant is activated, you may hear sounds that don't match your previous memories or are unfamiliar – sounds you haven't heard before. Please don't worry; this is normal. Let's practice familiarizing yourself with these sounds through the following activities:
At home, actively create sounds and listen to the sounds made by different objects, associating the sounds with the corresponding objects:
• Living room (sound of tables and chairs colliding, sound of the television, etc.)
• Kitchen (sound of water boiling, sound of cooking, etc.)
• Bathroom (sound of running water from the water faucet, sound of the hairdryer, etc.)

Tips for Hearing Rehabilitation:
Practice consciously: When listening to others, try not to look at their mouths, but listen with your ears as much as possible.
Proceed gradually: Progress from recognizing sounds to understanding them, gradually reducing overexertion.
Utilize fragmented time: In daily life and work, use frequent spare moments to practice for 60-90 minutes each day.
Building confidence is essential: Record your progress details each day (e.g., understanding a stranger asking for directions), encourage yourself, and build self-confidence.

Important keys to note after cochlear implant mapping:
(1) Understand the general details of the mapping process. It's best to keep a record of the program's location, usage, and the next mapping date.
(2) Considering the user's psychological loudness and the status of the implant, the mapping should be made multiple times within the first year after activation. After one year, the mapping is generally only needed once a year.
(3) More frequent mappings are required in special circumstances: adolescence and menopause; ear infection/trauma.
(4) Family support and companionship are essential. Actively learn about rehabilitation knowledge and participate in rehabilitation training.
(5) Because everyone's program is different, recipients cannot exchange sound processors, even if the sound processors are of the same brand and model. If you insist on changing or trying a different sound processor, you must have an audiologist re-map the program first.
(6) Contact an audiologist immediately if any abnormalities occur.
