How to Treat | Proactive Use of Expressman™ GEC in an Anomalous RCA Ostial Lesion

Engaging and treating coronary arteries with anomalous origins remains a technical challenge in PCI, often due to poor coaxiality and insufficient guide support. In this case shared by Dr. Xia Wengang, the RCA originated from the left coronary sinus with severe proximal–mid stenosis, making ostial engagement and device delivery difficult.

By proactively introducing the Expressman™ GEC, coaxial alignment and system support were significantly improved, enabling smooth delivery of balloons and overlapping stents with an excellent final result (TIMI 3 flow).

▶️ Watch how Expressman™ creates a stable delivery pathway and enhances procedural efficiency in complex anatomies.

💡 Discover ™ Microcatheter | Rendezvous Technique

In challenging CTO procedures, the Rendezvous technique offers an effective solution when conventional approaches are limited. By combining antegrade and retrograde strategies, this technique helps establish a continuous pathway across difficult lesions, improving procedural success.

With smooth PTFE inner lumen, enhanced tip visibility, and excellent trackability for wire manipulation and device delivery, the Elong™ microcatheter facilitates precise wire engagement and coordinated device delivery during rendezvous maneuvers — helping physicians achieve more controlled and predictable outcomes.

On February 11, APT Medical had the privilege of welcoming Dr. Johannes Rigger to Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University for a Sino-Swiss clinical exchange on CTO interventions.

The session featured three live CTO case demonstrations by Dr. Rigger, who skillfully navigated complex anatomies using a portfolio of APT devices, including the ™ 0.6g guidewire, ™ microcatheters (1.7F, 2.6F), ™ extension catheter, and ™ PTCA balloon.

We sincerely thank Dr. Rigger for sharing his clinical expertise and the team at Renmin Hospital for their professional support and hospitality.

Through continued collaboration with physicians worldwide, APT Medical remains committed to advancing practical solutions for complex CTO procedures.

💡 Explore ™ GEC: Large Thrombus Aspiration in PCI

In acute myocardial infarction, a high thrombus burden remains a major challenge, especially when standard aspiration catheters are limited by lumen size and suction capacity.

The Expressman™ GEC offers an alternative aspiration strategy for large or high-burden coronary thrombi, leveraging its larger lumen and stronger aspiration capability when conventional devices fall short.

🔹 Enables effective aspiration of large thrombi
🔹 Enhances myocardial perfusion and coronary flow restoration
🔹 Offers a practical solution for challenging thrombus management scenarios
