We recently completed a full-size print of a complex automotive component using the SoonSer Mars Pro-1600 SLA 3D printer — a build that took 30 hours and used 2471g of resin.

This part was printed using S-ST9001 (Magnificent White), a material engineered for general-purpose prototyping with excellent surface finish, low odor, and outstanding dimensional stability. With curing depth between 0.135–0.158 mm and layer thickness as fine as 0.05 mm, it delivers the high precision needed for design validation and shell assembly parts in the automotive sector.

Thanks to SLA 3D printing, we were able to:
▪️ Eliminate traditional tooling completely
▪️ Go from CAD to physical part within just hours, not weeks
▪️ Maintain tight tolerances and complex geometry without compromise

📉 Cost comparison:
Producing a low-volume prototype using traditional methods like injection molding can require mold tooling that costs anywhere from $3,000 to $10,000, and several weeks of lead time.
In contrast, this SLA-printed part was produced for a fraction of that cost — typically up to 80% cheaper for early-stage development — with zero tooling investment and significantly less waste.

This is more than prototyping. It's a smarter, faster, and leaner way to bring ideas to life — and a clear sign of how additive manufacturing is becoming a core part of modern automotive production workflows.
