Distractions are everywhere.

So even small moments of listening, observing your surroundings, and stillness can feel luxurious.

At the start of a break, this often comes easily. But after a few days, it can feel unfamiliar or uncomfortable. When you’re used to constant movement, slowing down can bring up feelings of being lazy, idle or unproductive.
�A more sustainable balance comes from gently incorporating these moments into your everyday life.

Sometimes less is more.

Following in-person sessions a few years ago, we recently delivered a guided audio project for HM Prison Service for inmates to listen to when needed, to calm the nervous system.

Reflecting on how effective sound, breath awareness, gentle vocal prompting and our imagination can be to elevate us out of circumstances; to find moments to uplift our spirit; and to help us understand ourselves more.

Our Sunday Reset yesterday also shared a medi on mental rehearsal. We all rehearse scenarios in our mind, so why not the positive outcomes?

Whatever our personal challenges might be, allowing ourselves a little more grace and joy in small moments can be incredibly empowering…. and compounds over time.

So grateful to have been asked to return to Auberge’s Hacienda Alta Gracia for their Visiting Master program.   Connecting guests with sound and breath in such a beautiful location is hard to put into words. I was also able to introduce a couple of new practices there, ‘Rooted and Restored’ is a culmination of the work we’ve been doing, to help clients recalibrate their nervous system. It was incredibly well received and guests left with simple tools they can use in their everyday life when things get a heavy.

The floating sound experiences in Casa de Agua - one of my favorite quote was “That. Was. Everything!” Thank you so much to everyone who attended sessions, it was an honor to hold and share space with you.  Huge thank you as always to all the team at Casa de Agua - and everyone at Hacienda Alta Gracia for making me feel so welcome.
