Shortly after our car accident, my three-year-old began having nightmares that I was hurt. In an effort to help calm the nightmares, we decided she needed a doctor kit. After looking at a million toy kits, she was always unhappy that she wouldn’t be able to hear real heartbeats with the toy stethoscopes. We decided we could make a bag with real things that would be way more fun.

Most children don’t seem to have any issues making friends, but if your child is shy or joins a school later in the year, it can be hard for them to connect with others. As a parent, this can break your heart. You don’t want your child to be lonely. Do you ever have one of those nights where you want just want everyone to sit at the table and happily eat dinner, no complaining? This is my go to recipe for that night. When I make these Vegetable Lo Mein noodles everyone gobbles them up. They are so easy too! I love to pair them with egg rolls to round out the meal a little bit, or you could add some chicken to the stir fry for a complete meal.
