And just like that... you're in Costa Rica

It never ceases to amaze me how quickly things can change.

Just jump on a plane.

This year I FEEL Costa Rica more than ever. I'm not sure if it's the place or me...
I might be more sensitive now.

Whatever it is, it's lovely.
The light, the air, even the water looks different from water at home 🌈

I can feel myself healing already in just this one day.

Are you ready to heal too?
Or are you going to wait another year? Again... 🤦🏻‍♀️

I love Costa Rica and all it stands for.

A country without a standing army... all the money that would go to the army, goes to education... can you imagine?

Their literacy rate blows ours out of the water.

The healthcare is phenomenal too! One year I had to go to the emergency room with a guest, and was blown away by how efficient, clean, and modern it was.

Cheap too!!

Much better than the New York City hospitals 😂

It's a civilized country. Peaceful and calm.
Not agro and violent, as ours is becoming more and more.

"Pura Vida" is the country's motto. It means pure life or live life with purity. It's an homage to nature and happiness and how we need the two to live.

You should come to Costa Rica with me this year if you're feeling stuck or blue.

If you had told me five years ago, I would be doing sound healing session, I would've told you you were crazy.

I've always shied away from woowoo stuff.

In fact, I went to PT school in the first place because I didn't like the way yogi's talk about energy and the body.

It's confusing and not... well, scientific.

I wanted science! Not chanting.

Science! Not OM

Science!! Not vibes....

And well wouldn't you know it... I'm right back where I started!
Playing the singing bowls, and helping people heal their vibration.
😂.

Only now I know what I am doing, and exactly why, which makes me better at it ... So it was not for naught!

The more I learn, the better I am at healing others heal.
I will always stay rooted in , that will never change.

But I am also open to higher learning, and there I shall remain.

Back at Stony Brook teaching the doctorate students how to use their core and identify pelvic floor dysfunction! 🤩
Not only is my favorite subject to teach~ because it's so important and SO interesting! ~ but I love teaching these smart and interested students...
I never thought I would be into academia, but ever since I graduated from the DPT program I've been asking (harassing 😂) Stony Brook to let me teach the pelvic floor.
Well my tenacity payed off!! This is my second year teaching this super important class ~ and I love it!!

Thank you Stony Brook for giving me such a GREAT education and now the opportunity to pay it forward.
I'm looking forward to today.

I hope you all have a wonderful day, full of love and learning and growing in just the right way (not always pleasant, but always helpful)

Easy… Sometimes we just HAVE TO GET AWAY.

It is very hard for us to break out of a rut in our “usual” environment. We talk to the same people, eat the same foods, go to the same places…. Even if we want to change, it’s hard to initiate. Out of our normal routine, we really shake things up!

Add to that my daily classes on the art and science of bod/mind alignment… THIS is a receipt for healing 🥰

Going on a retreat - with yourself or a friend - is the best way to jumpstart change.
