Today’s postpartum visit was all about making life softer.
Postpartum care is not about doing more, it’s about supporting rest, nourishment and recovery.

I set up a bedside diaper caddy, prepared a recovery kit in the bathroom, stocked the diaper bag and made space to talk through her birth story.
Mom is healing well, nursing on demand, eating, hydrating and staying in bed as her body recovers.
And in between, I got a few sweet newborn cuddles while she showered 🥰

My goal was to create ease so she doesn’t have to overthink, only heal.
So much of this work is about lessening the mental load so her body and nervous system can truly rest and recover.

New offering alert 💜

Grief With Company is a monthly circle for pregnancy grief and loss, hosted at . When I was invited to hold this space, I immediately said yes because grief deserves room to be held and too often is carried alone.

Sometimes it feels like the world moves on when our heart hasn’t. This circle exists for those moments. This is a space where grief does not need to be explained, fixed or rushed and where you can show up exactly as you are.

I do not come into this space as an expert but rather as someone who has lived this, who has sat in the quiet aftermath of loss and who has also had the honor of caring for and holding space for others walking a similar path.

This gathering is open to anyone navigating pregnancy loss at any point in their journey and to those who are pregnant again after loss. There is no timeline and no expectations. You are welcome to talk, listen, cry or simply sit in community with others who understand.

I will be hosting this circle monthly.

Before I was supporting families through labor and postpartum, I was here. Holding my own babies like this. Tired. Open. Learning in real time. Figuring out how to listen to needs that weren’t always loud, linear or convenient.
And honestly, I still am.

Motherhood humbled me fast. It taught me how to sit with discomfort without rushing it away. How to listen even when nothing is being said. How to hold space when I’m tired, touched out and still needed.
It taught me that safety is felt more than it’s explained. That being witnessed in your most vulnerable moments can be healing and that you’re still worthy of gentleness there.

That’s the part of me that walks into birth rooms.
The mom who knows what it’s like to be vulnerable. To need patience. To want someone steady nearby who isn’t trying to fix you.

These moments matter to me because they’re the same energy. Being present. Being soft. Trusting the process even when it’s messy.

Birthwork didn’t come before motherhood for me. Motherhood shaped how I do this work, every single time.

This is where it all overlaps. Me as a mom…
Me as a birthworker. Same heart. Same hands. Same deep respect for the work of being held and holding others.

Just a few of many myths about doulas …

No, we don’t replace your partner or your doctor…
My goal is always collaboration.

No, we don’t make medical decisions for you…
Your body, your baby, your choices.

Yes, we support epidurals, C-sections and all the birth paths.

And no, hiring a doula doesn’t guarantee an “easy” birth, but it can help you feel more supported, informed and not frantically Googling “Is this normal?” at 2am 😆

Birth doesn’t need to look one specific way to be valid or powerful. Support matters.

Save this, share it with someone who’s pregnant, or drop a myth you’ve heard about doulas below.

This year was not only about the numbers or the contracts, it was about the way I grew into a fuller version of myself as a business owner and as a woman. I proved that I can build something solid even while navigating doubt, pressure and real life responsibilities.

Every family I supported, every placenta processed, every workshop I facilitated and every partnership I stepped into reflects a year of choosing service over fear and alignment over comfort. I expanded my reach. I positioned myself as someone who teaches, guides and supports in ways that have long term impact.
I am proud of the growth, humbled by the trust families placed in me and honestly still a little in awe that I get to do this work.

I pray that 2026 is the expansion that flows from alignment, integrity and wisdom earned through experience 🙏🏽

Thank you, Costa Rica.

This trip was a conscious pause. A nervous system reset after a year of deep, meaningful and demanding birthwork. I stepped away to remember myself, not as a provider but as a human who also needs rest, quiet and space.

Birthwork asks us to be steady, present and grounded, and this time away reminded me that those qualities are nourished, not forced. When we honor our own capacity, we return to our work more present and more aligned.

Self-employed Christmas party but make it a solo retreat in Costa Rica 😂🇨🇷🏝️
Proof that rest can also look like joy.

This is a sign to take care of yourself🫶🏽

Hey there 👋🏽 Yep. That’s me.. holding a pelvis.
Don’t worry, it’s not mine.

Just popping in to say hello since I tend to flow in and out of social media seasons; sometimes present, sometimes tucked away recharging.

The energy on earth feels like constant heaviness… I really don’t have the words. So today, I’m drifting into my happy thoughts & I’ll take you there with me :)

Fun fact: I love orcas.
In fact, I have kindly asked God that if I must be reincarnated, to please bring me back as one.
Why an Orca you ask?

The orca is my spirit animal because it mirrors who I am at my core: intuitive, powerful and deeply connected. Like the orca, I move through life with intention, aware of my surroundings and protective of those I love. I value community, yet I honor my independence and the quiet strength that comes from within. I know its there even when I can’t feel it.

I am constantly reminded that sensitivity is not weakness, that laughter and joy can exist even in the intense moments and that leadership comes from both heart and mind. They teach me to trust my instincts, to embrace emotional depth and to navigate life with grace and resilience.

Just like the orca, I navigate deep waters with intuition and care, which is how I aim to show up for the families I support. Birthwork isn’t about control; it’s about trust, presence and the quiet strength that carries us through every wave. Maybe that’s why I love this work so much; it’s all about riding the waves, trusting your instincts and remembering to breathe between the surges. Orcas just make it look a lot cooler.

Let’s talk due dates ⏰

We love to circle that one date on the calendar but the truth is… it’s only an estimate. Most babies don’t actually arrive on their due date. In fact, full-term birth can happen anytime between 38 and 42 weeks & most hospital providers won’t let pregnancies go all the way to 42 before recommending an induction.

So when you hear me say I’m on call two weeks before and two weeks after your estimated due date, this is exactly why…
Babies have their own timeline & my role is to be ready when your body and baby decide it’s go time.

Try not to fixate on the date you’re given. Your due date is less of an exact day and more of a month-long window of possibility.
