We just watched the new live action Lion King last night so this was beyond perfect this morning! And my husband and I were in stitches laughing at how true this is!

I cannot begin to accurately explain how absolutely delightful to me it is to find chamomile growing just about everywhere you look in this part of the world!

My mini botanists were the first to spot them being familiar with chamomile tea since they were infants!

So as you can imagine we've made quite many refreshing iced chamomile infusions from freshly picked flowers to help beat the summer heat!

Oh and it's so very good and so very calming!

Some of the wellness benefits given to us by this noble little flower include helping with stomach upset, calming colicky babies, and bringing you peace and relaxation in times of stress and agitation.

And its so very easy to make a refreshing iced herbal infusion, too!

All you have to do is (1) gather three cups worth of chamomile, and two cups of filtered water. (2) Then in a saucepan simmer the water with flowers for about five minutes and put it aside to cool. (3) Next take the cooled infusion and sweeten it with locally sourced (and preferably raw, mmmm!) honey. (4) Then finally pour over ice and just enjoy the heck out of it!

Each and every chance you get to forage and create your own beverages, organic specialties, and even medicines, just do it and take it!!!!

Natural medicine, sustainability and permaculture is where its at!

What a refreshing approach to teaching young children life and social skills...

When touring different preschools for my daughter, I visited one where I got to observe the kids playing on the playground. While climbing the ladder on the slide, a little boy accidentally stepped on a little girl’s finger, and she started crying. What happened next left me astounded.
