A short documentary about Famagusta that is broadcasted on Alpha TV- presented various dimensions of the city’s division and displacement for former and current citizens. I would like to thank to Maya Filippopoulou once again, the editor in chief, for her sensitivity to reflect Turkish Cypriot and bicommunal peace building efforts in this documentary.

I had great time with psychology students coming all over the Europe to the “4th EFPSA Conference, 2019, Environmental psychology: Humans in their surrounding world”. I feel so honored to represent Cyprus as being the invited Environmental Psychology scholar & speaker and represent Eastern Mediterranean University in this regard.
The conference is organized by the European Federation of Psychology Students’ Associations (EFPSA) which is a very reputable federation currently consists of 33 psychology member organizations all over the Europe. I have been working in this field since 2000. With my multiple selves as an architect and environmental psychology scholar, I hope to contribute to inseparable relations between the human psychology and architecture. I wish to thank organisation committee and all those beautiful students for their interest and amazing energy!

As various peace activists and scholars, we discussed various visions and practice of bringing change to contested spaces of Belfast, Jerusalem, Nicosia and Sarajevo.
I would like to thank the Davis Institute for International Relations of the Hebrew University and the Center for Regional Initiatives (IPCRI), Konrad Adenauer Stiftung and the Ireland Palestine Representatives for this amazing conference. Equal representation is always challenging in the contested cities; but a unified future can only be shaped with such initiatives.

This book is dedicated to those who chose to take action for a better life for all. It traces a road map not travelled by many along ecological paths that connect rather than segregate offering splendid vistas and bold visions to its readers. It is a book written by a group of people whose roots are intertwined yet, they only learned about the patterns of their lives incidentally. It is a guide for an ecopolis that does not stand far away.

Thanks to Cyprus Post and Nadire Bahadi for this interview. A brief translation of the article into English:
Boğaç said if Varosha is re-opened, the first thing that people should do after all those years is to walk to their homes, “they should go over the barbed wires, touch to their homes and take a breath there.”
Boğaç emphasized the everything else can be solved, the only thing that cannot be replaced is the emotions of the people. Boğaç said “You can destroy and rebuild the cities. Everything can be cleaned, but the most important thing to do is healing the wounds of people”.
Ceren Boğaç stated that there were abandoned houses and incomplete lives behind the wires and the trauma of Turkish Cypriots who were living in the abandoned Greek Cypriot houses was not any different from those.
