How to choose your meats!

I am amazed how high is the consumption of antibiotics in livestock in Cyprus comparing with other European and non European countries.

Out of 192 countries, in 2020 Cyprus was the 12th highest in antibiotic consumption, Greece was 58th whereas Sweden and Norway were the countries with the least consumption worldwide.

Also surprised to see Australia ranking 15 whereas New Zealand was 157. Is the consumption of antibiotic use a reflection of where Big Pharma is deeply rooted?

That said, I still do recommend everyone to eat mostly meat and animal foods but choose your meat wisely.

Cold water therapy or cold immersion has become a trend in recent years. I have been practicing cold (below 15°C) showers according to Wim Hof method since last winter but this winter I have been doing cold immersions daily in the pool at the mountains starting from 15°C and currently at 8°C and the difference is dramatic. I feel energetic but calm, muscles recover faster after intense exercise and feel an improved general well-being. Other people have reported benefits such as lowered stress levels and improved mood as well as boosting the immune system. It can also help with weight loss as it boosts metabolism and promotes thermogenesis and brown fat, improves circulation and sleep and reduces inflammation. So many benefits at no cost.

Assuming there are no heart conditions (get your ok from your GP) start gradually in regards to the temperature and the duration and build up as you go.

The first thing I do when changing my clients' diets is to eliminate all sorts of breakfast cereals including oats and other falsely believed healthy alternatives, so that the consumption of fibre and carbohydrates are greatly reduced. Fibre is after all an unnecessary carbohydrate causing numerous problems in the human gut. The health benefits of reducing fibre and carbohydrates down to even zero are immediate especially where one suffers from gastrointestinal symptoms such as IBS, constipation, diahrroea, bloating and the like.
