It is really easy to distract ourselves from what we are supposed to do right now, in this moment! Especially when we have a long task list and these days we have our phones with us all the time waiting for us. 🙈
Today, I really had to remind myself that breakfast 🧇 time is not mindless scrolling time. I caught myself, eating breakfast and scrolling through social media, catching up! 🙈I had to talk to myself, I had to remind myself, that this is not the right time. This is the time to allow myself to savour the current experience. 🙏
So, I shifted my attention totally to breakfast; I could notice and really enjoy the scent and taste of coffee☕️, feel the crunchiness of the nuts, and taste the sweetness of the strawberry 🍓 and honey. And that feels really good. 👍
Because feeling good 👍 does not depend on the grand moments, the big successes or amazing achievements. Feeling good 😊 moments can be with you any time, if you bring more awareness and focus on that moment. In this case, was the breakfast.
I have trained my mind to shift attention to what really matters in the moment, otherwise it is very easy to distract myself. This is why I believe in mindfulness as part of my life and I want to share it with as many as possible, because it helps us to reframe our mind, change automatic habits that do not help us, and through this life takes a different perspective. And it’s not by forcing but through self awareness that gives us the possibility to make choices.
You will have more feel good 👍 moments, and you will do what it right for you at that moment. 🙏
