Mama Bee and Me

Mama Bee and Me A mama’s love letter to her child 🤍
Growing up abroad, gently learning the language of our roots.

Because distance doesn’t erase heritage 🌿
Tagalog in everyday moments—intentional, and unhurried.

Just a game, really.

But somehow, I still remember my dad playing it with us—me and my brothers—
proof that the smallest moments leave the deepest marks.

It’s just a bonus I can play it with her in multiple versions/language 😇

Keep teaching, Mama ♥️

Isang araw narinig ko nalang syang kumanta ng ‘singkamas at talong’ habang naglalaro and that really surprised me so i sat her down and we started from the beginning. Ito ang unang pagkakataon na nakanta nya ang bahay kubo halfway. Needless to say I was so thrilled.

She taught me to never underestimate a child’s capability again… with your support, they can do wonders ☺️

Kaya kaya nya masaulo lahat?
Let’s follow her journey 🥰

Welcome to Mama Bee and Me.

I’m a mom raising a child abroad, sharing our gentle attempts to weave Tagalog into daily life—without pressure or perfection.

This page isn’t about doing things “right,” but about noticing how language can live in simple moments when we give it a little room.

Everything here is shared facelessly, with privacy and intention at the center.

If you’re navigating motherhood between cultures and languages, I hope this space feels comforting, not demanding. 🌙🐝

If you’re also thinking about language, identity, or how much you can pass on—you’re welcome here, exactly as you are. 🤍

Ang sarap talaga ng pakiramdam pag na-capture mo yung mga first time moments. Halata naman sa tili diba? 😂😇 Part of our ang kumanta ng tagalog nursery rhymes. Several nights nakikinig lang sya hanggang sa kinanta na nya kinaumagahan at remix pa 😂

Toddlers learn words through repetition — first they listen, then one day, they will repeat it back to you. So sing her a song mama, it’s proven effective 🥰

What next song should we sing? 🤔
