What risks do your eyes face in winter? ❄️ Today, we’re focusing on those related to winter sports. Whether you’re heading out skiing, ice skating, snowboarding or sledging, high-quality sports goggles with UV protection should be an absolute must.
Many people still wear their regular prescription glasses for winter sports and that’s where we say: be careful! ☝️ There’s nothing worse than a glass shard in the eye. It can damage the eye’s structure, including the cornea, iris, lens and retina, and surgeries in such cases are often very complex.
A better option is wearing contact lenses, but even those can cause discomfort in winter due to cold air and dryness. That’s why we recommend investing in prescription sports goggles with UV protection, or even better, laser eye surgery. After the procedure, you can hit the slopes again within just a few days, wearing only standard sports goggles. 😎🎿
