We live in an excess of the self, a distortion of our roots, of personal growth, and of success.
Success is not about standing out; it’s about expanding. Where? Into the hearts and memories of others. Helping them connect better with themselves, with others, with their emotions, with life.
But if success is measured by how much money I make, my social status, or the number of likes I get… then it becomes completely disconnected from life.
So when we talk about personal growth, we can give more weight to the skills that connect us, to what we build together, rather than focusing only on individual achievements in solitude.
Because if we dig deep enough, we’ll realize that everything is one. Shared pain lessens, and shared joy multiplies.
We are trapped in an excess of self, of individuality. And the self suffers and suffers. If we seek to enlarge the self in the name of personal growth, we will only find more suffering.
How do you measure your success??
