March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month!
💡Colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer type worldwide; in 2020, almost 2 million cases were diagnosed.
💡It is the second most common cause of cancer death, leading to almost 1 million deaths per year. This is despite the fact that effective screening techniques exist that could reduce the number of deaths from this disease.

Most children with cancer can be cured. Yet, it is a leading cause of death for children.

To increased survival rates:

➡️ Access and complete treatment
➡️ Manage toxicity
➡️ Monitor for relapse

Cancer is seen as the most serious NCD-related health condition with roughly 85% of people describing it as 'very harmful'.
However, up to 40% of cancers are preventable.

Here are several ways to reduce your cancer risk:

✅ Do not smoke or use any form of to***co
✅Be physically active
✅Limit alcohol intake
✅Maintain a healthy diet
✅Take part in organised cancer screening programmes
